Dear Fellow Cu-SeeMe'ers,

TIA won't work.

For those interested in the reason behind this, let me go on a bit.
TIA, the TCP/IP emulator software, generates UDP packets which have the
wrong port assignment. CU-SeeMe requires port 7648. TIA puts out
packets in the 1030 - 1050 range and does not allow users to adjust the
port number.

For those users getting continuous "No response from ..." errors.
This generally indicates that your IP address is not registered in a
Domain Name Server or a hosts file. To see if you are actually sending
and recieving properly, try a connection with my test-bed site at: If you are sending and recieving properly, you should
see your name appear in the status window. If not (or if you have
questions about this) write e-mail to me, tell me your name and IP
Address used. I will check the log file in the test-bed and let you
know what is going on with your packets.

Generally those users on dial-in ports (be it SLIP/PPP) are able to use
Cu-SeeMe by editing their hosts file with their newly assigned IP
address after they establish a connection with their service provider
and before they connect to Cu-SeeMe.
