Greetings: I would guess that transmission would be *faster* going point-to-point because the CU-SeeMe packets are travelling (are there 2 "L"s?) back and forth, directly! Whereas, the internet would send the packets from site to site, trying to find a "path of least resistance". Since I tried this with a "null-modem" cable and 2 Windows 3.x/WfW workstations, I cannot *truely* vouch for differences in phone line quality!!! Oh, by the way, don't forget to use your "Hayes" modem initialization strings on BOTH sides prior to dialing each other. This will tell both modems to optimize your compression rates to their highest potential. I'm forwarding this to the rest of the CU-Consortium for their consideration.

Hope this helps, [=============================================================================] "THERE IS NO SANITY... Just organized CHAOS!!!" "I'ld rather STAND CORRECTED than SIT CONFUSED!!!"
