The first implementation that I saw of private chat for CU-SeeMe was an
internal version of the Mac client in early 1996. (implemented by Jef Han)
That version used the '<privately>' tag that I spoke of. GeekTalk adopted
it with some extensions released for the benefit of the CU-SeeMe community.
Subsequently adopted by Cornell PC client.
I would think that Cornell should be able to drive standards for CU-SeeMe,
but hey... call me crazy.
