Power Macintosh 7500 or 8500 ??

I am required to purchase either a 7500 or 8500 series Power Mac for
multimedia work and need to know if these computers are supported by
CU-SeeMe.

I am aware that one could possibly plug in a QuickCam to do video
transmission with some non-AV macs but our requirements are greater than
just sending video signal of the operator.

We wish to connect various video sources (eg. CCD cameras, electron
microscopes, video-recorders etc) to the computer's "video in" port
and send signals from these devices using CU-SeeMe.

Being PCI based (and not NU-Bus) we cannot merely purchase a VideoSpigot
AV Pro card - as recommended in the CU-SeeMe info/FAQ/etc notes - for our
purposes. We had initially planned on purchasing this card for use with
a 7100/80 AV PowerMac but apparently these PowerMacs are no longer
available in Australia (ie. ex.tax education bundles).

Thanks in anticipation,

Kind regards,

Duncan.
