CU-SeeMe Net videoconferencing tool to debut on TV program

White Pine Software will announce a new Windows version for its
Internet-based videoconferencing system CU-SeeMe later this week
in an interesting forum and at an interesting time -- Friday at
about 2 a.m. Eastern time on "Up To The Minute," CBS' overnight
TV news show.

More details on the launch should come out later today or
tomorrow, but White Pine spokeswoman Tracy Wemett told
Interactive Age Daily the company will roll out a beta version
of Windows-based CU-SeeMe product that will include full audio
capabilities, both send and receive, as well as the ability to
launch a videoconferencing session directly from a World Wide
Web browser.

More information about the new product will be available later
this week on White Pine"s home page, located at
http://www.wpine.com. White Pine was selected master licensee of
CU-SeeMe by Cornell University in May. The company's priority
has been to get a strong Windows-based version of CU-SeeMe.
