Jackie:

Thanks for the thorough review of the D-Cam. Do you mind if I paraphrase it
and add it to my web pages along with your name and email address?

>1. How to fix the gethostbyname() problem. The FAQ simply wasn't any help.

GetHostByName() error means you are trying to connect to a reflector by NAME
instead of by IP address, and an IP address wasn't found for that name.
There isn't anything you can do about this, since it sounds like you have
your TCP stuff setup properly, or else you would be getting the
GetHostName() error, which is ENTIRELY different, tho somewhat related.

As far as the GetHostName() error goes, there is a pretty good (I think, of
course I WROTE it:)) explaination of what that is, and how to fix it. You
don't really need this, since you don't get that error, but it might help
you understand a little more about internet, tcp/ip and how it's all tied
together.

Sure. Most people don't use audio at all in CU-SeeMe. Besides this, you're
not likely ot get very good audio at 14.4 speeds. Try the CMU reflector.
I've heard that they send audio out almost constantly, and they are a good
place to test your audio setup.
