If memory serves, SLiRP - like TIA - is software that tries to fake an IP
connection where none exists. I believe neither of these support UDP
traffic (which CU-SeeMe uses), although the latter product was claiming to
be adding this.

There's no substitute for a real TCP/IP connection via SLIP or PPP.
