I am now getting desperate to get cu-seeme working on my system.
I have the following:-
PC 386 with 4 meg and 100k hard drive
MSdos 5.0, windows 3.1 and Sun Select PCNFS running a Western Digital
Ethernet card connected to a University network direct.
I have CU-SEEME W0.84 and it will not work!!!

I keep getting an InitOpenRequest - gethostbyname error [10036]

I have a hosts file with the correct ip address and hostname.

I have even tried the fix of creating a hosts file with 127.0.0.1
localhost in it to no avail.

If I run WS-Ping it returns the correct host name etc but is unable to
get a host name outside of our local area network.

I am running Netscape, mirc, and several other network programs without
trouble, so I do not know what is going on.

Any ideas will be gratefully accepted.
