Just to intentionally disagree

That's Funny, I installed DIRECTX ver 5..0 and soon after could not SEND
VIDEO.
All I did was unplug the cam behind my parrellel port (my zip drive), and
replug it back
in and now it works fine.
DirectX didn;t seem to do anything at all to the audio.
