Hi all,
I'm mailing this on the offchance that someone is doing
a similar project as me.
I'm trying to develop some sort of program similar but ALOT simpler to
CUSEEME for my final year project.I don't think that my project supervisor
knew what exactly has to be done in order to complete such a
project(esp with lectures and other assignments to do).
Anyway my project involves winsock,VC++,Video for windows and
an indeo capture card. All I want is to be able to capture video using
the indeo card in AVI format, send it across the network and display
it at the other end. This all has to be done continuously. So far I can
capture a clip ( any size), send it across an ethernet network, write it
to a file and display it on another pc.
Problems at the moment include
*capturing to a buffer as opposed to a file
so it can be sent across the n\w(reading from
a file is too slow).
*Playing from a buffer as opposed to a file
*a way of getting around the fact that once a clip
has been played(say a half second clip) the viewer
closes and has to be opened again for the next
clip(using mcicommands or otherwise)

I've been working on it for 3 months and unfortunately the
deadline is looming.I really need help badly as this project basically
decides what degree one gets.
All suggestions appreciated
