VIDEOCONFERENCING BETWEEN INCOMPATIBLE COMPUTERS
Apple's QuickTime Conferencing technology allows video collaboration
between disparate PCs, a move that one-ups Intel, whose ProShare
videoconferencing technology requires both computers to have Intel
circuitry installed. Desktop videoconferencing systems are expected to grow
by 100,000 this year, and 300,000 next year. "It will be the CD-ROM of
1996," says one market researcher. (Wall Street Journal 2/8/95 B6)
