Can't get audio to work!

I'm teaching a course on the Internet, and thought I'd wow the students
with a demonstration of CU-SeeMe. Trouble is, although I am up to speed on
video, I can't seem to get the audio working. I'm running a Macintosh
Quadra 800 with 16 MB RAM and System 7.1. I have a Connectrix QucikCam and
am using CU-SeeMe 0.8b2. Although both the built in and QuickCam
microphones work fine in other applications, they are not recognized by
CU-SeeMe. My CU-Seeme audio control panel's "send" and "push to talk"
buttons are dimmed (although I CAN check the send box), and I have yet to
see an uncrossed microphone on anyone else's icon row beneath their window.
I receive audio fine.I'm on ethernet to a great internet connection (I
belive our gateway is 10 Mbps, but I'm not sure), so I don't think its a
bandwidth issue.

Hope some one out there can get me up to speed soon, so I can use this
incredible product in my class.
