I am currently seeking information on, or examples of, groups using
Internet as a realtime collaborative tool for problem-solving. There are
some international meteorological projects that involve shared synchronous
data from multiple locations, but I am more interested in examples (or
technologies) in which individuals collaborate in the generation of
something new. I am particularly looking to apply this to a design
education project with secondary school students as means of demonstrating
the power of groupthink, shared resources cross-cultural creativity etc.
Tools like CuSeeMe, Maven, Homer etc obviously have potential, but I cannot
find any reference (yet) to actual applications of these technologies. Can
anyone help?
Contact me directly if this request is OFF-TOPIC.
