WriteOCPacket error - origine

With an FTP stack and an ethernet card on a LAN
or with Trumpet and a PPP connection:
when windows CU-SeeMe receives:

WriteOCPacket[]: 'sento' error - [10035]

it locks the program and require manual closing of the
window it's written into.

Are those a) indication of lost packet to which CU is supposed
to automatically react and lower its cap speed, or
b) local software trouble messages?

if a) what can be done. This ends up requiring that CU be closed
then restarted. Is that normal for the window version of CU?
It prevents using a PC left "on" with CU running as a mean of providing
a visual security check of the room by loging onto it from anywhere.
If the PC got a "sendto" error it stop transmitting and cannot
recover from it until someone reset it manually

If b) How does someone knows that some packets are getting lost?

In any case, what use is the preference "Send Packet Loss Report"
The use of this switch is not explained but if it's there, it must answer
a need. Why would someone NOT want to send packet loss report?

Thanks in advance. Alain
