>White Pine certainly is promoting the new beta release of CU-SeeMe for
Windows and downplaying the availability of CU-SeeMe for the Macintosh -
the only mention of the existence of the Macintosh version is a
one-sentence link at the bottom of White Pine's home page. This is
ironic, in view of the fact that CU-SeeMe was originally developed for
>the Macintosh environment.

Sue - I totally agree. I use macs and have found the cornell version
.83b3 to be really good - great sound and picture. However, I was saddened
to see that there is no beta white pine release at the moment - especially
after previously seeing that there would be a release in COLOUR!!! Colour,
now this WOULD be good! However my excitement was soon quelled - oh well.
Maybe all us mac users should write to white pine about this.

One of the reasons I was so excited to see a colour version was that I
thought it would slow the transmission rates down too much - after all, all
that much extra info for colour e.t.c. How much slower is this colour
version, or is it so much more efficient in terms of compression e.t.c.
that there's not much difference at all?

...dreaming of a mac colour release.......
