Adam Skwersky <adam@space.mit.edu> asked about a Software Developer's Kit
for plug-in routines for the Mac version of CU-SeeMe.

This kit will provide facilities so that an appropriately skilled
programmer can produce small programs that run in conjunction with
CU-SeeMe; they "plug into" CU-SeeMe via an interface that we have designed.
At present, the "Talk Functional Module" on the Mac is such a plug-in
routine, although on Windows it is integrated into CU-SeeMe, and it will be
integreated in future Mac versions as well.

We have a prototype of such a plug-in development kit but have been waiting
for proper copyright wording and the clarification of other legalities. I
understand that these items have been making progress and we should have
them "real soon now". (I also have some nice swamp land for sale, along
with a famous bridge ...)

The present SDK will have to be modified for use with a current version of
Metroworks' "Code Warrior(tm)"; the present SDK requires an ancient, but
old, version and we don't want to inflict that upon anyone. In particular,
we need to enhance the facilities for debugging the plug-in routines, in
the off chance that they might have a programming error or two.

So, in summary , there will probably be an announcement about the
availability of such an SDK but I cannot say when it might be. When it
happens, it will appear on the CU-SeeMe "announcements" list and on this
list as well.
