True, but you have to know the other person's IP address or user@host to
conenct to them with 'Talk' (WinTalk for the PC). Also, with IRC you can
chat with lots of people at the same time, whether in a channel, or in
private windows. I have had as many as 20 private conversations at once (me
and my big mouth!). <g>
