New CU-SeeMe User with Quickcam problems

Dear CU-SeeMe Discussion List Readers:

Could someone shed some light on a problem I am having with CU-SeeMe
recognizing my QuickCam? When I boot CU-SeeMe, the application hangs. If
I reach around and unplug and then replug the QuickCam into the modem
port, the application finished booting and everything is okay. The
QuickCam works fine with both QuickMovie and QuickPict (ie. no plug
mechanics needed). Here are my specs:

QuickCam
Cu-SeeMe 0.83b3 (68K)
Mac OS 7.5.1
PowerBook Duo 230 (with Duo Dock)

I'd would really appreciate any help provided.
