Well List Members, I've been thru 2 PC to TV Adapters from Surplus Direct
Mfg'r / Distributer .=Woods Industries, Inc. - Indiana { Taiwan} *** Phn.
The 1st was DOA & the 2nd works as it is supposed to, but only in VGA modes
0 - 13.
Yes it works in Windows but ONLY if you are set to 16 colors @ 640 x 480
My purpose was to be able to economically record NASA CuSeeMe Sessions on
Tape thru a VCR.
However, CUSeeMe will not run in VGA (0-13) modes. Needs 640 x 480 x 256
minimum !

Summary: SAVE YOUR time & MONEY !!

Hi List Members:
I have just ordered a PC-to-TV card for $59
from Surplus Software in Oregon. The price sounds right,
if it works. This just became available in their nationally
circulated by mail catalog.
I will advise this list in about a week on its performance.

I'm sure there are a multitude of ways to do this but one that comes
to mind is ATI's PC2TV card. (A friend just purchased one)
and it outputs to a monitor and to RCA Video/Audio out jacks so you can
tape whatever's on your screen. Its in the 170 range w/o 3D acceleration
and a bit more with it.

Also you can look into those $99 video conversion boxes that plug into
your vga port and give you normal video out - seems though recently
they've all gotten a little better and the price has gone up to about the
150-200 range on most.

My friend is very pleased with his ATI card, and I haven't heard report of
anyone who uses the port plugin type.

Hope it Helps,
