Thank you to everyone who responded to my earlier request. While all the
responses were helpful, I see that I should have provided a bit of more
detail. So, with apologies to those who may think this is off topic...

I want to use my AVI/Twain compatible camera to automatically put a near
real time image frame on a web page.

Hence, what I'm seeking is some sort of software to control the camera,
grab images at selected intervals, and place each image, preferably as a
.jpg, into a specified file.
