I had the EXACT same problem. It's simple to correct. Go into your Sound
Control Panel, select sound *out*, and make it 22.050 Khz. And it'll work!
Having monitors set to Millions also gave me another problem.. so keep that
to thousands at most too.

These are two problems/solutions that should probably be added to the FAQ.
