CU-SeeMe is an Internet based desktop videoconferencing system for PC
level systems and currently includes both MacIntosh and Intel based
systems. CU-SeeMe will allow users to see real-time video of each
other, and in the case of MacIntosh users, hear each other as well.
This software can also support more communications among up to 8
participants by using a server process called a "reflector", in which
each user connects simultaneously and receives-transmits video to all
other participants.
[note to editors; The preceding changes have been made in order
make apparent that the software will do point-to-point
communications even without a reflector.]
