I am an educator in Chicago Il USA. I have a mandate from my boss (our
principal) to figure out a way to do cheap distance learning with
students in our school in different parts of a large campus or
elsewhere. I was thinking that CU-seeMe might be a good option. I have
been lurking on the list for sometime and I am thinking that you all
might be able to help me figure out how to find out enough on this
subject that I could find and purchase the best parts and assemble them
to work on our in school dispersive network and beyond.

I am looking to start a prototype network with a few machines and branch
out from there. Does anyone have any reccomendations on how and where
I can find more information on products and tech details on set-up and
administration. I forewarn that I am not a complete techno moron, but I
need some starter information on this subject to try to get us going. I
am planning to do both web searches to find out more as well as getting real
woodies (books) to find out more. Can anybody help me?

I am also looking for suggestions of whiz-bang sites that I can show off
to the admin of the school to get them on board once we have something
that works.
