MacOS 8.1 breaks Cornell CU-SeeMe on my PowerBook :-(

Dear Folks,
I've just upgraded my PowerBook 3400c to MacOS 8.1 and found that my
CUSM outgoing audio doesn't work. I was careful to select Built-In Mic as
the sound source using the new sound source control strip. Incoming sound
is unaffected and works normally. WHen I speak, the sound level in the
audio display registers the sound, but a loopback to 'self' and also via a
self-reflect conference fail to show any sound being transmitted.

I have verified that the PPC versions of CU-SeeMe 85b1, 87b1, and 87b3 all
fail in this same way. Other applications such as Connectix QuickMovie are
not affected, and work fine.

I suspect this is a bug or at least an imcompatibility in CU-SeeMe itself,
but if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

(CU team: please let me know if an Apple System Profile of my machine
would be helpful)
