For a start, CU-SeeMe was never intended to get anywhere near a 30fps
frame rate.

If you're worried about possible incompatibilities between PAL and NTSC video,
this seems to cause less problems than you might expect. We have been using
various versions of CU-SeeMe for about six months or more, and I know for a
fact that those earlier versions had only been tested with NTSC video. Yet they
worked just fine for us in our corner of PAL-land. (At least, the problems we
had weren't due to PAL/NTSC incompatibilities :-).) Most video digitizers on
the Mac these days seem to be PAL/NTSC autosensing--certainly this is true of
the VideoSpigot and the built-in hardware on the AV and PowerAV Macs. You
just don't have to worry about it.
