I want to thank you all for responding to my question. As Bill indicated,
it was apparently a codec problem. I installed the new drivers from pmatrix
and intel, and everything seems to be working now.
btw....I did have Intel Indeo and MJPEG drivers installed but I installed
these in addition to the ones Win98 installed.
