You mean the Talk plug-in module written by Aaron Giles for the Mac
version? It's in the Cornell CU-SeeMe FTP directory, but not the White
Pine one. Here's the URL:

ftp://CU-SeeMe.cornell.edu/pub/CU-SeeMe/Mac.CU-SeeMe0.80b2

In this directory you'll find these files:

-rw-r--r-- 1 109 251 14208 Jan 27 17:45 AD_TraceFM.68k.2.bin <---------*
-rw-r--r-- 1 109 251 223616 Jan 27 17:45 CU-SeeMe.68k0.80b2.bin
-rw-r--r-- 1 109 251 290048 Jan 27 17:45 CU-SeeMe.ppc.0.80b2.bin
drwxr-xr-x 2 109 251 512 Jan 27 17:46 Mac.CU-SeeMe.SDK.0.80b1
-rw-r--r-- 1 109 251 42786 Jan 27 17:46 README.0.80.basic.1-16-95.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 109 251 8611 Jan 27 17:46 README.AuxData-ADtrace.txt <---*
-rw-r--r-- 1 109 251 27563 Jan 27 17:46 README.changes.1-27-95.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 109 251 24832 Jan 27 17:46 TalkFM.68k.2.bin <-------------*

In addition to the TalkFM.68k.2.bin file, I think you also need the
AD_TraceFM.68k.2.bin one, and you should get README.AuxData-ADtrace.txt
which explains things a bit. I don't really understand how it all works,
but I think the TalkFM plug-in needs AD_TraceFM to work - I may be entirely
wrong however. I've marked the files in question with an asterisk above.

Can anyone wiser in these matters shed light on the Talk module? Like
f'rinstance, how when you're connected to a conference do you know if
anyone else is running the Talk module, and how do you start talking (i.e.
typing) to them? I couldn't find a README anywhere devoted to the Talk
module.

For folks like me who are limited to lurker status due to lack of both a
mic and a camera, this Talk module seems like the only way we could
actually contribute to an ongoing conference.
