Reveal TV500 Video Capture Problems

I just got off the phone with a technician at Reveal asking if there was a way
around the negative video problem that occurs when the TV500 card is used with
CU-SeeMe. Howard (the technician's name) said that they were not aware of the
problem. In fact most of them there had not even heard of CU-SeeMe. Howard
had (at least a little) and they have made him the resident "expert" on
CU-SeeMe issues. He said that there was currently no fix available BUT if
enough interest were shown in one and it became clear to them that they were
losing sales to competitors, Reveal would likely develop one. My camcorder can
produce negative video output. So, I can get my set up to work but I'd prefer a
real solution.

If you have any interest in the Reveal TV500 card at all, call them. If you've
got the card, tell them that you are disappointed and want a fix developed. If
you are in to market for a card, call them and tell them that you won't be
buying from them because of the problems. Maybe it will get their attention.

Their number is 1-800-4-REVEAL (1-800-473-8325). It can be a bit tricky to get
to a human. They make you go through their automated help system to get to a
real technician. Once the system answers the phone, you have to go to the
bottom of one of the branchs of the help system and let it "help" you with
something. After that it will ask if you want to speak with a technician. Ask
for Howard.
