I'm told that it is not possible to receive audio via CU-See Me when using
a DOS computer (though it works fine on a Mac version). Is this still the
case, and (if so) what is the prognosis?

We're primed to do an Internet segment about it, but concerned because of
the Dell Pentium we use---and because much of the world is *not* on Macs.

Please respond as quickly as possible.

here, fyi, are a few facts about our broadcast

Up to the Minute (UTTM) Up to the Minute (UTTM) is the news broadcast to
watch in the early morning hours, consistently more "awake" and aggressive
than its competitors, including CNN.

We are seen in 750-thousand to a million households nationwide from 2 to
6am, Mon-Fri. On average, UTTM outrates CNN's best daypart day or night.*

UTTM is not just "hard news." We're into innovative features including the
"information superhighway," womens' health, and review of home CD-ROM
titles (information, software and games). "Digital Drive: Excursions in
Cyberspace," our weekly exploration of the so-called information highway,
is way ahead of the competition in almost any form. On it, we convert the
output of our net-linked computer and put it out on the CBS Television
network to give our audience a sample of what can be found out there.
We've demonstrated HotJava, talked live to the creator of Netscape, helped
find folks jobs, browsed the strike-alternative online San Francisco
newpapers, operated a mechanical robot 2500 miles away, explored
censorship, visited L'Hermitage, Louvre, Graceland, HotWired, various
planetary observatories, etc, etc. Mail response is good.

If You're a Guest: We tape interviews conveniently in the evening on a
quick in-and-out schedule. Segments are longer than on the network morning
shows, and they generally air without editing. A car picks you up, takes
you to our studio and waits and takes you to your next destination. A
bonus: our "soundbites" are carried on the CBS Radio Network news
broadcasts, and via CBS Newspath, on newscasts of 210 CBS-affiliated TV
stations.

*UTTM is available in 86% of US households
CNN is available in only 66% of US households
