Uhm, just so people can feel bad for me... I run CU 3.1.X on a 486
motherboard (with a 586 upgrade chip running at 133MHZ) with 32Meg ram and
56K modem... And that runs just fine. In defense of the nay-sayers, it DOES
take a little longer to load up and H.263 vid is VERY slow. But once it's
up, I don't have any problems at all. No crashes, no lockups, works fine.
And that's connected to MPCS servers and older Reflectors (freeware AND
WhitePine)
You could do it on a lesser machine, I've seen it... heck I've done it.

That's a fact. The server knows almost nothing about the CU-clients it's
talking to. It understands the CODECS they speak and whether the client is
H.323 or can speak RTP. And it needs to know alot about the H.323 clients
it's connected to... But beyond that.... CUSeeMe clients are all treated
pretty much the same. So there should be improvements across the board.
Unless the clients themselves are making allowances for problems in the
Reflectors that don't exist in the MPCS server.
