You can get the software from http://cu-seeme.cornell.edu (Cornell
version) and the commercial version from http:/www.wpine.com (White Pine's
Enhanced version). As far as settings..if you're on a modem, I recommend
a min send of 10, max send of 15, min receive of 10, max receive of 28.
The other settings you just gotta play with to get right (if you have a
camera).

There's a few help pages for the Mac from http://cu-seeme.cornell.edu I
believe (though some are a bit outdated...still good info)
