I've used both the Cornell and WhitePine versions; under Windows 3.1 and Win95;
on a 486 and a Pentium; with SLIP, CSLIP and PPP... and have never been able
to send any chat messages.

My suspicion is that somehow SLiRP is involved: that's been the only common
factor in all the connections. or maybe it's just SLiRP running on Netcom...

Pausing the video, disabling the video, closing/opening chat window... none
of that has any affect on the problem.
