That is because, when you set it up, either "Server" or "Dynamic" was =
selected in MacTCP. This is probably because your ISP allocates IP =
addresses on an as-needed basis. This allows him/her to serve more =
customers with fewer addresses. Most PPP users face the same issue [I =
believe] unless the ISP allows manual allocation of IP addresses.
