MMX definitely will help provide higher quality video, but the real
question is, will it? There are a bunch of competing possibilities ...
there are special chips around which can/could do the job far better for
only an extra $50-100. Which one will win, who knows? Also, there's
increased network bandwidth to think about, and the different ways that
could happen. It may turn out better for videoconferencing to get a
cheaper computer and spend more on a cable modem or something.
