Are you using a Mac or PC? I'm not aware of a 0.84 version of CU being
produced on either a Mac or PC. Does your vid show up in the local
window? (ie: can you see yourself).

You might also wish to get a recent version of CU from
http://cu-seeme.cornell.edu (latest PC version is 0.92b2, latest Mac
version is 0.87b3)
