I'm working on a CU see me site, and wanted to have a web page showing the
same image as CUseem sees, but you can 't have two apps use the video
hardware (Centris 660AV). So, here's an AppleScript to every 10 sec. grab
the default local video window and save it to a GIF. If
http://bowery.dialup.dti.net is up, you can see it (it's *very* sporadic
currently!) Copy the script to a new script in script editor, and save as
an application, (not showing startup screen, leave open).

--------------------------

on idle
try
tell application "CU-SeeMe 0.83b3 (68K)" to activate
tell application "clip2gif" to save screen crop {1, 23,
160, 210} as GIF in file "Bowery:pub:gifs:bowerycam.gif" depth 8 without
interlacing
--tell application "NetPresenz" to activate
tell me to activate
on error
-- tell application "clip2gif"
-- save {160, 190} as GIF in file
"Bowery:pub:gifs:bowerycam.gif" depth 8 drawing {{frame:{1, 1, 159, 189}},
{rectangle:{10, 10, 140, 180}, color:{65535, 65535, 0}}, {position:{20, 20,
130, 170}, justification:centered, drawn text:"Error getting CU-seeme
screen shot"}} without interlacing
-- end tell
end try
return 10
end idle
