I don't think you need a hosts file at all. =20

Use wshost to lookup and you get
Lookup and you get

This means that your ISP ( has a DNS setup, and a Reverse DNS, too.
This should supply the host name for CU.

As far as the GPF error, contact the Winnov tech support people.
