Either the USB or parallel port version. I've just heard of
incompatibilities with Grayscale. Also, the picture quality was horrible
and required tons of light to look half-way decent. I don't own one
though so I can't speak from experience.

I would say something like the Panasonic Eggcam (capture card and camera
combo). Then there's the lower end capture cards (Winnov, Hauppage, the
other Brooktree-based chipset cards). Then there's the higher end capture
cards (Miro? I dunno..seen some for $500+)

I'm rather partial to the Winnov Videum AV that I'm using now :) It blows
the Quickcam away...and is also tons better than the STB PCI tv/cap card I
have on the same system.
