The following event will be carried on the video refelctor
129.186.116.107. Currently the user limit is 10. If you
are interested I would try to send a BCC stream to another reflector
if there are interested parties and I can get enough time
away from other aspects of the event.

Culture of Peace:
Science, Education and UNESCO

Federico Mayor

Federico Mayor is the Direcotor General of UNESCO (United Nations
Scientific & Cultural Origanization) which has 171 member states
and a prime objective of achieving peace through international
intellectual cooperation.

Federico Mayor is a biochemist who has taugh at the University of
Granada, Oxford's Trinity College and the Autonomous University
of Madrid. His publications include The War Against Disease and
Onocogenes and Molecular Pathology.

He was director of the Institute of the Sciences of Man in Madrid
and served as Spain's Minister of Education and Science before
joining UNESCO.
