Gethostname() failed

I just downloaded a copy of CU-SeeMe, and every time I try running it,
I get the following error message:

Gethostname() failed (11004)

I've done everything the installation instructions said to do - I
already had a copy of MSVIDEO.DLL and CTL3D.DLL in my \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
directory. I also created the HOSTS file and put it in the same
directory as WINSOCK.DLL and verified that there were no other files
named HOSTS in my search path. I checked the FAQ.TXT file, and the only
thing I could find was the problem with LAN Workplace for DOS, which I
believe is what I use (our systems programming people call it the
Novell Client Kit).

If you have any suggestions, I'd appreciate you sending them directly
to me since I don't subscribe to the list.

TIA
