OK, here goes.

Running Win95 using the dial-up facilities to connect to my ISP with the =
PPP selection as the connecting protocol. Having a solid connection to =
the Net and then launching CuSee Me the responding error message is =
returned.

Cannot find WINSOCK.DLL Windows needs this file to run.

Does this mean that all I need is the WINSOCK.DLL file, if so why? Is it =
being used as achannel or will it try to launch the TRUMPET prog if it =
is installed.

Hope you can help out, and thanks for taking the time to reply.

regards....

Greetings:
Nowhere do you mention what software you are using for your PPP=20
connection. But to answer your question, yes CU-SeeMe does work with =
PPP.
PPP, CSLIP and SLIP are methods of emulating ethernet packet=20
transmission. It appears that you might not be connected to your=20
internet service provider (ISP). Otherwise, your software might be=20
configured for PPP, but your login script (if any) might be telling your =

ISP to use SLIP, instead!
Please give us ( me ) more information on how your configured, and =
what=20
your dial-in protocol is (PPP, SLIP, etc.) Also, include whether or not =

you are able to access other WinSock compliant software, i.e. - NCSA=20
Mosaic. I should be able to give you a better answer.

Good luck...
