The claim has been made that color would require only 6 percent
more bandwidth. I am somewhat suprised that the figure would be
that low, as the lowest I have been able to convince myself that
it would be is 50 percent more bandwidth.

This is because the basic monochrome bandwidth has been reduced
by so much -- unlike NTSC or PAL television, where there is a fair
amount of waste in the monochrome image transmission, the CU-seeme
system seems to have a lot less slack involved.

If someone would be willing to enlighten me (direct mail is fine)
as to how the color could be added with the very small bandwidth
impact, I would be most interested.
