This (and what I've read in the CU-SeeMe manual) sounds a lot like MPEG &
MPEG II. At a SMPTE conference, there was a "mildly" stunning presentation
by a gentleman named Huffman (!) about wavelet compression. Any
commercial products using this scheme?
