Hi CUSMer's,

I'm the guy who was cut off last week by teleport. It has generated a lot
of talk on the list and I wanted to give you the word, straight from
teleport's mouth. I just received the following announcement from support:

>Teleport's internet connection and remote site connections
>will be temporarily down on October 24th from 9:00 AM until about
>9:15 AM. During this time we will be adding more memory
>to our router that controls those links.

>We will also be removing our recent filters for UDP traffic
>that were installed to block CU-SeeMe. We have determined
>that CU-SeeMe was not the main cause of network slowdown as
>we had thought. This will also allow RealAudio, IPhone, and
>other multimedia applications to function again.

It seems teleport has changed it's mind. I thank all of you who wrote to me
with advice. I'm still checking out a new provider though. Thanks again.
