I am experience a problem with Cu-SeeMe V0.83b2 (and prior versions) which I
am hoping someone might be able to point me to the possible cause of:

Environment:

Mac Duo 270c (docked) running system 7.5.1, 22 MB, QuickCam
connected to the printer port with a 28.8 connection to ISP.

Problem:

When launching CU-SeeMe the Mac appears to hang before completing the launch
of the application program. (command-option-escape at this point does not
force CU-SeeMe to quit but totally freezes the Mac)

After much experimenting, gnashing of teeth and rebooting, it turns out
that if I disconnect the QuickCam from the printer port at the point where
the Mac
appears to be hung, the program then will complete its launch and I can
then reconnect the QuickCam and function normally.

At one point, several weeks ago, prior to connecting the QuickCam, CU-SeeMe
worked
just fine. I have tried to resolve this problem by:

- replacing the CU-SeeMe application with a fresh copy and even tried prior
versions of the application

- deleting the nicknames and pref's files

- re-installing the QuickCam software (note that the QuickCam applications all
work just fine without this "hang" issue)

All to no avail.

Any ideas, suggestions or pointers would be welcome.
