Tom, I have had no trouble running CU from NetCruiser or NETCOMplete.
I usually use it from my shell account, but I'm not aware of any
configuration differences. If you can establish a connection but
you're not getting the expected bandwidth, it could be your maximum
receive caps are too high. The flow control section of cuseeme.ini
should look something like:

[Flow Control]
MaxCap=28
MinCap=10
MaxRecvCap=28
MinRecvCap=10
CurrentRecvCap=28
UseFlowControl=Yes

With your modem, you might try substituting '33' for '28' [fat
chance of getting that speed from Netcom, though :]. A 386dx
with 4MB RAM sounds a little underpowered, but I'm not sure
what effect it might have on the application. You don't need
a hosts file, but it's a good idea to insert a reflector list
in your .ini file. See John Becker's web page for some current
listings... http://www.realtime.com/~wcw/reflect.htm

I have a question for anyone else who might know. Has anyone
written a tool [VB or other] to do an automated scan of
reflectors? Going through a list manually gets a bit tedious.
