Well Ralph.....mine started two weeks have I purchased my camera. I just
received my return number from the camera's manufactures last week. I
owned the camera for about four months and contacted them every week.

You will have to use the 1-800 number and they will give you a cleint
number.....after talking to them for awhile......they will tell you that
someone higher up in the service department will contact you......this is
the long wait.

Obtain the problem number with the 1-800 number phone call and then quote
that number everytime you talk to them.....I also Emailed the support
address and also quoted my customer problem number there every week when I
Emailed.

The old Baffin Island saying is ...."You will have to bug the shit out of
them to get a response".....to obtain you return number.

By the way your camera is getting internally hot and producing the white
streaks.

Good Luck
