Transitions Endorsement

For the Transitions Endorsement, a "school to career" model, the exit goals are prescribed by NCA CASI.  There are multiple peer review team visits and regional review is required.  The school must demonstrate an increase in the proportion of promoted or graduated students who are prepared to be successful in the transition to career.

Once the school declares its intent to pursue a Transitions Endorsement, it begins a process based on standards and criteria developed through the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. In implementing this improvement process the school:
  • Develops a student profile and mission statement.
  • Analyzes improvement needs.
  • Establishes improvement goals that include prescribed transition goals.
  • Develops a comprehensive school improvement plan (SIP).
  • Hosts multiple visits by an external peer review team and chairperson.
  • Implements the school improvement plan.
  • Documents goal attainment using NCA CASI approved measures and provides evidence of student success to the peer review team.
  • Credentials students at each level of schooling.
