The above web site gives information on the economic and social situation in Africa through 1995. Charts and graphs of economic information on Africa from 1990-1995 are displayed to assist student interpretation of the data, which could be incorporated into a number of disciplines: case studies/comparisons of economic indicators (poverty definitions); resource analysis and use; change in country names in terms of demographics; change over time in terms of access to "modern technology" (ie. telephones, computers, on-line capabilities, transportation, agricultural applications,...); eco-tourism studies and economic impact vs. environmental impact; or art depiction in relation to social and economic situations.
