Soferino Health Information

Village has a clinic with a full-time nurse who lives in the village.  Currently there is no doctor
as the previous one completed his year of service.  A new doctor is expected at the beginning
of January.  The village is divided into four quadrants with a health promoter in each quadrant.  In addition there is one midwife and one practicing traditional herbal healer.

Diet:

Diet is the same as other villages except the addition of fish.  Many, however, don't
know the value of the protein in fish and don't eat it.

Major Health Problems:

According to the nurse the most frequent medical problems are diarrhea and repertory infection.
